I’ve never understood the A.C.L.U. Mostly because some arcane ideology makes them believe they are superior beings first, so they can be as counter-intuitive as possible about liberty equality and freedom. I feel lots of advocacy is advanced under the mantle of joy that neo-liberal ideology creates for enthusiasts and practitioners, but primal fear and guilt prevents them from seeing the whole context of their ‘help’.
