Sort of shocking to see an org with as many lawyers involved as the ACLU not knowing that senior management shouldn't be ad-libbing statements about ongoing litigation.

People ask why HR always sounds like a robot. This is what happens when HR doesn't talk like a robot.

In the context of a statement in which a Black senior management official quoted a hip-hop lyric, your disparaging remark about "ad-libbing" is a clear expression of anti-Blackness, and I hereby declare my intent to commit unfair labor practices against you in response to your remark.

(Am I ACLUing correctly?)

Not surprising that Hikes' awkward quote is from a song by someone who endorsed Andrew Cuomo over Cynthia Nixon.

I’m the kinda black that doesn’t know what they are or have a nation not the US, so not a nation really. Working on that. The aclu position reminds me of Ivy college nationalist separatist telling me my people were respectability politics and that was violent, but this garbage of disunion isn’t...and now that’s just such a popular and dominant mood that it’s this high in a fucking civil liberties union.

If only we were the groups slave sellers made for branding, and organized purely on that basis. Then all the baddies would be usurped. Forget ethnic difference because you have to respect this one ethnic paradigm only a few people in the ethnicity chose, and to which all those within don’t have equal access. Also some this group got sold into the situation some who did the selling got colonized centuries later, same dif. No need to process that. That’s liberation. Stfu--that’s liberation. It’s not gonna feel like liberation to everybody.

Fucking geez...if these are the receipts all I’m learning is the people who made certain circles feel most guilty and validated just meant shit rather than focused on what DID shit.damn shame

Fascinating of course that ACLU is represented by Kauff McGuire & Margolis, but this is the first time I've seen that William Gould from Stanford is also representing them. What's he doing there?

I suspect he's providing some political cover for them, especially on the issue of arbitration deferral.
